Bremelanotide Contains: 2 x 10mg vials of PT-141, 1 x 5ml Nasal Spray Bottle, 1 x 3ml Sterile Saline Solution, 1 x Insulin syringe. Number of dosages: 10 x 2mg dosages (1 x 2mg dosage = 2 sprays). Note: Due to the lower absorption rates, 20mg of Nasal Spray PT-141 equals only approximately 10mg of the injectable version, in other words only half as effective. Therefore, the minimum daily dosage for the Nasal Spray is 1mg PT-141 (2 sprays) - which is about the same as a PT-141 injection of 0.5mg. We always recommend the injectable version for cost effectiveness and best results, but the Nasal Spray does offer a legitimate alternative for those who are not comfortable with injections. Mixing Instructions: This demonstration video shows the correct method for mixing vials for usage in a nasal spray adminstrator. But please note that it's for demonstration purposes only and you should always follow the specific measurement quantites instructed on this page for PT-141 which are: Mixing 2 x 10mg vials per nasal spray bottle, with 1ml of water in each, and dosing of 2mg per 2 sprays of the finished nasal spray product. Step 1: Open the vial of sterile water and the insulin syringe packet. Remove the orange cap of the insulin syringe and insert it into the end of the plastic vial of water and withdraw 1ml of liquid to fill the syringe. Flip off the plastic colored cap of the PT-141 vial and inject this 1ml of fluid through the grey rubber stopper into the vial. Allow 60 seconds for the PT-141 powder to completely dissolve into the 1ml of water you have just injected into the glass vial and then repeat the above process in reverse and withdraw the 1ml fluid back out of the vial into the syringe. Complete the mixing process by injecting the 1ml of mixed PT-141 solution into the nasal spray bottle (screw off the nozzle of the nasal spray bottle to enable you to inject the fluid easily). Step 2: Repeat step number 1 with the second vial. Step 3: You should now have 2ml of water (containing 20mg, 2 vials worth of PT-141) inside the nasal spray bottle. Replace the nozzle of the nasal spray bottle and push down a few times until the first spray of fluid comes out - this indicates the bottle is now ready to use. Administration Instructions: With your head upright insert the nasal spray bottle into one nostril while holding the other nostril closed. Position the bottle with your thumb at the base and the nozzle between your first and second fingers. With your head upright depress the pump all the way down and breathe in deeply. Spray two (2) times into the same nostril and then pinch both nostrils closed and sit your head forward for 10 seconds. Do not blow your nose under any circumstances. Next time you use the nasal spray bottle it is advised to use the other nostril to administer your dose.
